Action Homeless Leicester receives funding worth £6,000 from Crane Charitable Funds after nomination from Druck

3 min read

Pressure is one of the most measured parameter in the world — and it’s also one of the most critical.

Local charity Action Homeless is to benefit from a donation of £6,000 from the Crane Charitable Funds, following a nomination from Groby based Druck, a Crane Company business, and global leader in pressure measurement technology.

The donation will have a positive impact on the lives of the individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Leicester. Action Homeless continues to see high levels of demand for its services as more people find themselves without a safe and stable home.

Each year the charity provides safe and secure accommodation to approximately 450 people. Action Homeless also provides advice and assistance through a dedicated duty response line to individuals and families who are homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness. Donations such as this one mean that Action Homeless can continue to provide people with both practical and emotional support at an incredibly difficult time in their lives.

Funding Manager, Eilidh Stringer, said: “We would like to thank Druck for nominating Action Homeless. Druck’s compassionate team have supported us in many ways over the years, not least through the time they generously give to volunteer at key events such as our Big Christmas Lunch. We are extremely appreciative of their ongoing commitment and partnership.”

Gordon Docherty, President of Druck, said: “Action Homeless is a wonderful charity that makes a real difference to people’s lives.  We’re proud to continue supporting its important work through the Crane Charitable Funds and to contribute to the positive impact it has across our community.”

Action Homeless is committed to delivering high-quality homes and personalised support which enables people to break the cycle of homelessness and go on to lead happy and fulfilled lives. We are proud to have been helping people who are experiencing homelessness in our local community for over 50 years.

The donation forms part of the Crane Charitable Funds programme, which supports employee-nominated charities around the world. This year, Druck employees nominated 21 organisations, including Action Homeless, to share a £120,000 global funding pool. The programme reflects Crane’s commitment to giving back to local communities and empowering employees to support causes that matter to them.
